Bartolomiej Mirecki defends his position and wins second race of the weekend

The battle for the win from the first race between Bartolomiej Mirecki and Tomáš Pekař continued into Sunday’s race. This time, however, it was the Polish driver who crossed the finish line first.

The grid was reversed in the first five places, meaning Ivan Pulić started from pole position alongside David Dziwok. But after the red lights went out, Mirecki, starting fourth, soon took the lead and enjoyed a clear view of the track. Pekař, starting from fifth, had to fight his way through the field, but the leading duo quickly closed the gap and provided a spectacular show for the fans in the grandstands.

White and orange Clios raced hard, with Mirecki defending his line and Pekař trying to take the lead. This time, Mirecki held off the Czech Clio champion and crossed the finish line first, 0.972 seconds ahead of Pekař.

Third under the checkered flag was Pekař’s teammate David Dziwok, with Nik Štefančič finishing fourth. Rounding out the top five was Ivan Pulić, who had started from pole position.

Valter Nežić again won the Clio IV class, followed by Tomáš Kazarka and Marko Kazarka.
