The Janík Motorsport Team plans to dedicate itself to the intensive development of young racing talents in the coming seasons. To this end, they have established the „Junior ORLEN Team“ program, which allows young drivers to compete in two championships: the Clio Cup and F4 CEZ.
In the series, the Janík Motorsport Team will deploy the fifth generation of the Clio V, with which the Polish driver Julian Śmiechowski will race. The young driver will take his place in the driver’s seat and, along with the team, make his debut both in the car and in this championship. Julian has already achieved significant success. He is the holder of the title of Polish vice-champion in the 2023 Trofeo di serie automobile races and the second vice-champion of the Polish RallyCross 2023 in the SC Cup class.
„I am obviously happy to be part of such a professional team. For me, this is an entry into the big races, and having experienced drivers present will also be an advantage from whom we can learn and improve our skills. We will see where we stand after the first weekend. I can’t wait for the season to start,“ Julian Śmiechowski looks forward.
The team owner, Václav Janík, stated: „I am glad that in this project we will be working with young drivers. The F4 CEZ and Clio Cup series will be new for us, and surely we will be learning this season. In the future, we want to develop the F4 CEZ series more, and I am pleased that thanks to the Junior ORLEN Team program, we can provide support to more drivers.“
