Bartłomiej Mirecki enjoyed a successful weekend at Autodrom Most, winning the second race as well and making an important step toward the final stage of the championship fight.
Nico Wüest and Nikodem Sobczyk started from the front row, followed by teammates Oskar Marszałkowski and Julian Śmiechowski on the second row and Tomáš Pekař and Bartłomiej Mirecki on the third row.
Sobczyk had a poor start, while Wüest held the lead with Marszałkowski and Śmiechowski running second and third, respectively, though Śmiechowski soon lost a few positions. Pekař went for a move into the lead on the start-finish straight but missed the braking point, cut the chicane, and immediately let the others pass to avoid a penalty for gaining an advantage.
There was also contact between Sobczyk and Marszałkowski, which resulted in Sobczyk ending up in the gravel trap, prompting a safety car.
This chaos opened the door for Mirecki, who led the field behind the safety car, followed by Nico Wüest in second, Śmiechowski third, Pekař fourth and Reto Wüest in fifth.
After the restart, Mirecki held the lead and began building a comfortable gap from a battling group of five: Wüest, Śmiechowski, Pekař, Filip Dziwok and Matic Preša.
Pekař eventually emerged as the strongest of the group and moved into second place, though Mirecki maintained a margin of over four seconds.
With three minutes remaining, Miha Primožič and Filip Dziwok made contact and Primožič ended up beached in the gravel trap. The safety car was called out once again, effectively ending the race.
Mirecki secured victory in both races at Autodrom Most, with Pekař finishing second in both. Nico Wüest completed the podium in third, followed by Alexander Spetz in fourth and Oskar Marszałkowski in fifth.
