The Clio Cup season continues this weekend at the Slovakia Ring, where the fifth round of the 2026 campaign will take place. More than 30 cars feature on the entry list.
Exactly 33 cars are entered for the Slovakia Ring event, meaning spectators can once again look forward to highly competitive and spectacular racing at the Slovakian circuit.
The big question is whether anyone can find a way to beat championship leader Bartlomiej Mirecki, who holds a comfortable 47-point advantage over second-placed Tomáš Pekař. Mirecki dominated the previous round at Most, winning both races and increasing his season tally to five victories.
The BM Racing driver has proved extremely difficult to beat this season. Even starting outside the top 10 has not stopped him from charging through the field and fighting his way to victory.
Apart from Pekař, who has claimed one win, and third-placed Julian Smiechowski, who has won twice and sits 73 points behind Mirecki, no other driver has managed to take a victory this season. However, the competition remains closely matched, with several drivers appearing at the front of the field during races.
Matic Preša, Oskar Marszalkowski, Rafal Paprota and Dawid Babraj have already found their way onto the overall podium, collecting trophies for second or third place. In total, 20 drivers have scored points so far this season.
The Slovakia Ring field features drivers from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Switzerland, Serbia and Italy. Slovak fans will also have a home driver to support in Jan Raška, who races for Carpek Service and is the only local competitor on the grid.
Qualifying for the fifth round of the Clio Cup starts on Friday at 14:35. Race 1 will take place on Saturday at 10:00, with Race 2 following on Sunday, also at 10:00.
