Back to racing as the Clio Cup heads to Most after the summer break

The Clio Cup enters the second half of its 2026 season this weekend at Autodrom Most as part of the Racing Journal Speed Fest. Championship leader Bartlomiej Mirecki will be aiming to extend his advantage, while local favourite Tomáš Pekař is targeting a return to the winner’s circle.

Autodrom Most hosts the fourth event on this season’s calendar, following visits to the Red Bull Ring, Grobnik and the Salzburgring. Since the second race at the Red Bull Ring, the results have been dominated by Polish drivers Mirecki and Julian Smiechowski. However, their success on paper does not reflect the competition on track, where the racing has remained close as ever, with the outcome often decided in the closing laps.

Experience frequently proves decisive during the final stages of each race. Mirecki has claimed three victories so far, while Smiechowski has taken two. Pekař won the opening race of the season and, thanks to a series of consistent results, remains second in the championship standings. Racing in front of his home crowd, he will be eager to give the Czech fans something to celebrate.

A total of 17 drivers have scored points across the opening three events and six races. With four rounds still remaining, the championship battle is far from over. The Clio Cup regularly attracts grids of more than 20 cars, and 24 entries have been confirmed for the Racing Journal Speed Fest. The large field promises plenty of action, with spectators able to look forward to door-to-door battles in the overall classification as well as the junior, rookie and gentleman categories.

The race weekend begins with free practice on Friday. Qualifying starts at 11:10 on Saturday, followed by Race 1 at 15:35. Race 2 is scheduled to begin at 12:35 on Sunday.
