Clio Cup Bohemia expands 2026 calendar: seven rounds, five countries

The growing field of the Clio Cup Bohemia championship can look forward to even more racing in the 2026 season, which will feature seven events across five countries.

The Clio Cup series is one of the most spectacular one-make championships in motorsport. The ever-close battles on track provide fans with a kind of excitement that sports cars or single-seaters simply can’t match.

And the great news is that there will be even more action in the 2026 season, as the promoter adds another event to the calendar, bringing the total to seven rounds from April to October.

The season will kick off at the Formula 1 venue Red Bull Ring in April. The series will then head to two different locations in May, starting at Grobnik followed by Salzburgring. The Croatian track returns to the calendar after a long absence, while Salzburgring is a brand-new addition.

At the end of July, the Clio Cup returns to its traditional venue in Most, followed by Slovakia Ring in August. The penultimate round will take place at Brno in September and the season finale will be held at the newly reconstructed Hungaroring in October.

Each race weekend consists of two races, meaning drivers, teams and spectators can look forward to seven rounds and a total of 14 races – more than ever before.

“We’ve seen growing interest in the Clio Cup from both drivers and teams, which is why we decided to add another event to the calendar and offer them even more opportunities to enjoy the season,” explained championship promoter Josef Křenek. “The calendar features some of the best circuits in Central Europe, and we’re really looking forward to another great year.”

Each race weekend includes a practice session, qualifying, and two races. The grid for Race 1 is determined by qualifying results, while the grid for Race 2 is based on the Race 1 results, with the top 8 to 12 positions reversed, depending on a lot.

The overall Clio Cup Bohemia champion will receive a free entry for the 2027 TCR Eastern Europe season.
