The Clio Cup returns to action this weekend at Automotodrom Brno. The drivers head there for the penultimate round of the 2025 season and there’s still plenty to fight for.
Bartłomiej Mirecki is on a winning streak, having conquered the last four races at Poznań and Most. His run of form has brought him to within just seven points of championship leader Tomáš Pekař. The pair are the only drivers to have won races this season, never letting anyone else spoil their celebrations on the top step of the podium.
That doesn’t mean the other drivers can’t match their pace. The Clio Cup is always full of close battles and the Brno races will be no exception. More than 20 cars are on the entry list, including Julian Śmiechowski, who sits only 30 points behind Mirecki and still within reach of a higher position in the standings.
Śmiechowski has finished on the podium five times in six races and his consistent results have given him a points advantage over his rivals behind. Nikodém Sobczyk and Alxander Spetz have also made it into the top three during the season, while Oskar Marszałkowski has regularly been close to the podium. Those three drivers currently sit fourth to sixth in the standings, separated by just eight points between Sobczyk and Marszałkowski.
The entry list is a mix of drivers from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Switzerland, Hungary, North Macedonia and even Sweden. The Clio Cup always guarantees highly entertaining on-track battles and not just for the lead, but throughout the field.
Qualifying for Race 1 takes place on Friday at 13:45. Both races will then be held on Saturday, at 10:00 and 15:45.
