Bartłomiej Mirecki scores victory in front of home crowd

Bartłomiej Mirecki started the race weekend in perfect fashion. After securing pole position, he led from start to finish to win Race 1 at his home track Tor Poznań.

Mirecki and Julian Śmiechowski started from the front row, with Oskar Marszałkowski and Tomáš Pekař lining up behind them. The third row was occupied by Matic Preša and Nikodem Sobczyk.

Mirecki kept the lead after the start, with Śmiechowski right behind. Pekař moved up to third place ahead of Marszałkowski. Preša held onto fifth, with Alexander Spetz just behind him, preparing for a successful overtake on the second lap.

Pekař was the fastest driver on track during the opening laps but couldn’t find a way past Śmiechowski, while Mirecki gradually pulled away, building a lead of nearly three seconds.

On lap nine, Pekař finally managed to overtake Śmiechowski, but by then he was already trailing Mirecki by over four seconds. Mirecki managed his tyres well and was never seriously threatened by the championship leader.

Mirecki went on to win the race on home soil with a lead of more than four seconds over Pekař. Śmiechowski finished third, successfully defending his position from teammate Marszałkowski. Just behind them was Spetz, figting hard with Preša in the closing stages of the race. Preša finished sixth, followed by Nikodem Sobczyk in seventh. Nico Wüst brought his Clio home in eighth, Katarzyna Terlikowska claimed ninth, her best result of the season so far, and the top ten was rounded out by Reto Wüst.
