The qualifying for the first race of the Clio Cup at Slovakia Ring was won by championship leader Tomáš Pekař from Carpek Racing. The second fastest was Nikodém Sobczyk, who trailed Pekař by 0.417 seconds.
Morning qualifying took place with still fine temperatures, ideal for the race cars and drivers. Third in the session was David Dziwok from Carpek Racing. He will start alongside Filip Kunčer in the second row.
Championship contenders Nik Štefančič and Bartek Mirecki will start from the third row, with Julian Smiechowski and Simon Sikhart behind them. Overall 21 drivers entered the qualifying.
The race will start at 11:15.
